Dolça llum! Des de les àuries portes irromps triomfant a través de la nit. Dia joliu! T’has despertat. Amb misterioses paraules, amb melodiosos acords, saludo la teva beatífica esplendor! Ai! El dolç hàlit de l’amor m’infla el cor commogut, tendre, com una pena estimada. Si tan sols en aquestes àuries alçàries, pogués passejar en la flaire del matí! L’anhel em mena cap al cel. I l’audaç maldar de l’ànima, en un superb curs gegantí, em porta amunt, a través dels núvols. Però amb un suau i misteriós tremolor, el cant penetra a la meva vida interior, dissipant melodiosament la tempesta. Davant els meus ulls tot esdevé lluminós; plàcidament, damunt el tendre rastre, alena l’harmonia de la natura, i la font mormola amb exultació, les ones fugitives dansen joiosament a través els camps tranquils del matí. I envaïda per un dolç delit, una tendra harmonia es mou a través de la poesia de la vida, el que ressona profundament dins l’ànima, el que canta la boca embriagada, refulgeix en una sublim melodia. Als alegres fills del cant cada sofriment de la vida els fa flaquejar, i tan sols l’amor infla llurs cors. En els sagrats acords de les cançons i en l’esclat del matí de la bellesa, l’ànima s’envola vers el cel.
