L’année tourne autour du pivot de la constance paysanne ; la Vierge et sainte Anne disent chacune leur mot. D’autres paroles s’ajoutent plus anciennes encor, — elles bénissent toutes et de la terre sort cette verdure soumise qui, par un long effort, donne la grappe prise entre nous et les morts.

Das Jahr läuft um den Angelpunkt ländlicher Beständigkeit; die Jungfrau und Sankt Anna tragen dazu bei. Weiteres fügt sich an, Älteres zudem, - das Alles segnet, und der Erd’ entsprießt dies demutsvolle Grün, das, durch lange Müh’, der Traube Halt schenkt zwischen uns und den Verstorbenen.

Schöner Falter, nah der Erde, (der achtsamen Natur) zeigt er die Miniaturen aus seinem Buch des Fliegens. Ein anderer schließt die Flügel am Rand der Blüte, durchzuatmen - : Dies ist nicht der Augenblick, zu lesen. Und viele weit’re noch, von zarter Bläue, verstreuen segelnd, flatternd sich wie blaue Zweiglein eines Liebesbriefs im Wind, eines Briefs, den man dabei war, zu zerreißen, indessen die Empfängerin am Eingang zauderte.
