Als über den Flieder das Mondlicht rann, Da steckt' er mir heimlich ein Ringlein an, Und küßte den Ring und die Hand dazu Und lauschte selig dem ersten "Du". Das Mondenlicht sah in den Ring hinein, Das gab einen fröhlichen, hellen Schein, Der Fliederbaum neigte die Blüten stumm, Die Gräser raunten: "Das Glück geht um!"
