Wenn du [die kleine Hand]1 mir gibst, Die so viel Ungesagtes sagt, Hab ich dich jemals dann gefragt, Ob du mich liebst? Ich will ja nicht, daß du mich liebst, Will nur, daß ich dich nahe weiß Und daß du manchmal stumm und leis Die Hand mir gibst.

2. Im Nebel  [sung text checked 1 time]

3. Das treibende Blatt  [sung text checked 1 time]
Vor mir her getrieben Weht ein welkes Blatt. Wandern, Jungsein und Lieben Seine Zeit [und sein]1 Ende hat. Das Blatt irrt ohne Gleise Wohin der Wind es will, Hält erst in Wald und Moder still . . . Wohin geht meine Reise?

4. Volksweise  [sung text not yet checked]

5. Regen  [sung text not yet checked]

6. Herbst  [sung text not yet checked]
Nun kommen die letzten klaren Tage Einer müderen Sonne. Bunttaumelnde Pracht, Blatt bei Blatt. So heimisch raschelt Der Fuß durchs Laub. O du liebes, weitstilles Farbenlied! Du zarte, umrißreine Wonne! Komm!
