Guardate le foglie, quando muoiono,
non sono forse, nella luce dorata d'autunno,
più ricche di colore che in primavera?
Cosa può eguagliare l'ultima fioritura
scossa dalle brezze ottobrine?
Più cristalline delle acque più limpide
risplendono le lacrime che sgorgano dagli occhi,
e più intenso fiammeggia l'ardente crepuscolo,
della luce del sole quando è alto, di giorno,
e nessun bacio è più ardente di quello
di coloro che si separano per sempre.
