Dieu, accorde-moi d'être à ton côté ! À quoi sert à la princesse sa patience, sa délicatesse de cœur et d'esprit ? On a en horreur son sang libre et vif, on vole les plus beaux joyaux de sa couronne. Dieu, libère-moi de souvenirs outrageants ! Mais si tu veux, princesse, de la chambre de ta plus haute tour, avec des pensées bienveillantes et compatissantes, visiter ton prince outre tombes et murailles, il te retournera ta visite en troubadour. Dieu, laisse-moi la liberté de rêver ! Princesse, princesse, soleil de ma prison, illumine favorablement ma longue misère !
