Wenn eifersücht’ge Mücken stechen, saugen am Hals der Schönen unter Zweigen, aufblitzend sich dann weiße Nacken zeigen - sie lockten unsre jungen, liebestollen Augen. Der Abend sank, ein zwielichtiges Raunen: Die Schönen schmiegten sich an uns, wie traumverloren, sie flüsterten besondre Worte, auserkoren, dass unsre Seelen seither zittern, staunen.
