Wach auf mein Herzenschöne

Language: German (Deutsch) after the German (Deutsch)

Wach auf mein Herzenschöne,
zart Allerliebste mein,
ich hör ein süß Getöne
von kleinen Waldvöglein,
die hör ich so lieblich singen,
ich mein, es woll des Tages Schein
vom Orient her dringen.

Ich hör die Hahnen krähen,
und spür den Tag darbei,
die kühlen Winde wehen,
die Sternlein leuchten frei.
Singt uns Frau Nachtigalle,
singt uns ein süße Melodei,
sie meld't den Tag mit Schalle.

Du hast mein Herz umfangen
in treu inbrünstger Lieb,
ich bin so oft gegangen
Feinslieb nach deiner Zier,
ob ich dich möcht ersehen,
so würd erfreut das Herz in mir,
die Wahrheit muß ich g'stehen.

Selig ist Tag und Stunde,
darin du bist gebor'n,
Gott grüß mir dein rot Munde,
den ich mir hab erkor'n;
kann mir kein Liebre werden,
schau daß mein Lieb nicht sei verlor'n,
du bist mein Trost auf Erden.

Ontwaak, mijn lieve schone

Language: Dutch (Nederlands) after the German (Deutsch)

Ontwaak, mijn lieve schone,
Jij, allerliefste mijn,
Ik hoor heel zoete tonen
Uit ’t bos, van vogels klein;
Die hoor ik zo lieflijk zingen,
Ik meen, ik zie al daglichtschijn
Van ’t oosten hier doordringen.

Ik hoor de hanen kraaien,
En speur de dag nabij;
De koele winden waaien,
De sterren schijnen vrij.
De nachtegaal gaat zingen,
Voor ons een liedje zoet zingt hij,
Hij wil de dag inhalen.

Je hebt mijn hart omweven
Met liefde, trouw en fier,
Zo vaak heb ‘k mij begeven,
Schat, naar jouw schoonheid, hier.
Kon ‘k ergens jou bekennen,
Dan had mijn hart zoveel plezier;
De waarheid moet ‘k erkennen.

Ik prijs de dag die vond je,
Waarop jij zag het licht.
‘k Dank God voor jouw rood mondje,
Waarvoor ik ben gezwicht;
Niets heeft voor mij méér waarde,
Geef dat mijn liefde houdt gewicht,
Jij bent mijn troost op aarde.
