Von allen Bergen nieder

Language: German (Deutsch)

Von allen Bergen nieder
So fröhlich Grüßen schallt -
Das ist der Frühling wieder,
Der ruft zum grünen Wald!

Ein Liedchen ist erklungen
Herauf zum stillen Schloß -
Dein Liebster hat's gesungen
Der hebt Dich auf sein Roß.

Wir reiten so geschwinde,
Von allen Menschen weit. -
Da rauscht die Luft so linde
In Waldeseinsamkeit.

Wohin? Im Mondenschimmer
So bleich der Wald schon steht. -
Leis rauscht die Nacht - frag' nimmer,
Wo Lieb' zu Ende geht!

Omlaag van alle bergen

Language: Dutch (Nederlands) after the German (Deutsch)

Omlaag van alle bergen
Barst vrolijk groeten los --
Weer is de lent' aan 't werken,
Die roept naar 't groene bos!

Een liedje heeft weerklonken
Omhoog naar 't slot in 't bos --
Je liefste heeft 't gezongen;
Die tilt jou op zijn ros.

Wij vluchten samen ijlings,
De mensheid laat ons koud --
Ginds ruist de wind zo zachtjes
In 't eenzaam stille woud.

Waarheen? In maanlichtschemer
Staat 't woud reeds bleek getint --
Zacht ruist de nacht -- vraag nimmer
Waar liefd' een einde vindt.
