I. PRIMO VERE
Veris leta facies
mundo propinatur,
hiemalis acies
victa iam fugatur,
in vestitu vario
Flora principatur,
nemorum dulcisonoque
cantu celebratur. Ah!
Flore fusus gremio
Phebus novo more
risum dat, hoc vario
iam stipatur flore.
Zephyrus nectareo
spirans in odore,
certatim pro bravio
curramus in amore. Ah!
Cytharizat cantico
dulcis philomena,
flore rident vario
prata iam serena,
salit cetus avium
silve per amena,
chorus promit virginum
iam gaudia millena. Ah!

Su alegre rostro la primavera
Language: Spanish (Español)  after the Latin
En primavera
Su alegre rostro la primavera
al mundo ofrece,
y la crudeza invernal
vencida ya huye.
Con variado ropaje
reina Febo,
y los bosques con dulce
canto lo celebran.
En el regazo de Flora,
Febo de nuevo
sonríe a la variada
floración tupida.
Sopla Céfiro
con olor a néctar.
Con empeño corramos
por el premio del amor.
Con la cítara canta
el dulce ruiseñor,
y con variadas flores
ríen los serenos prados.
Una bandada de pájaros vuela
sobre el ameno bosque
y un coro de doncellas ofrece
un millar de goces.
