Hochzeitsmorgen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): ENG

Wedding morning
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
Carried through the night by a wave
In a sea of desire
The morning awakes, pale and wan.
You must never ask about my dreams,
About all the mourning of denial,
You my beloved, that one last time
Agonizingly stole into my spirit!
I have only this one thing to offer
The radiance from the days of my maidenhood
That blindly entrusts itself to the sea.
My whole loving and my life
Shall foam away as a pure flood;
Seen only in a dream and filled with shame,
It shall truly now exist and flame loudly.
