Laut tönt durch Erden, Monde, Sonnen ihr ewger Schall, Hört Menschen, hört, Menschen, sie auch ihr! (Andante) Liebt mich in meinen Werken, Liebt Ordnung, Ebenmaß und Einklang! Liebt euch selbst und eure Brüder! Körperkraft und Schönheit sei eure Zier, Verstandeshelle euer Adel! Reicht euch der ewgen Freundschaft Bruderhand, Die nur ein Wahn, nie Wahrheit euch so lang entzog! (Allegro) Zerbrechet dieses Wahnes Bande, Zerreißet dieses Vorurteiles Schleier, Enthüllt euch vom Gewand, Das Menschheit in Sektiererei verkleidet! (Recitatief) Gij die de schepper van de onmeet’lijke1 kosmos eert, Jehova noemt hem, dan wel God, hem Fu noemt dan wel Brahma, Hoort! Hoort woorden uit de bazuin van de Alheerser! Luid dreunt door aarde, manen, zonnen, hun eeuwig geschal. Hoort, mensen, hoort mensen, ja ook gij! (Andante) Lief heb mij in mijn werken. Om orde, evenwicht en eenheid! Houd van uzelf en van uw broeders! Lichaamskracht en schoonheid zij steeds uw tooi, Verstand en wijsheid uw adel! Reik elkaar de2 broederhand van vriendschap, Die slechts een waan, nooit waarheid, u zo lang ontstal. (Allegro) Verbreek van deze waan de banden, Verscheur nu van dit vooroordeel de sluier, Ontdoe u van ’t gewaad Dat mensen in partijgetwist vermomd houdt! Tot sikkels3 smeed nu om het ijzer, Dat mensen-, dat broederbloed tot nu vergoot! Laat springen rotsen met het zwarte poeder, Dat moordend lood in ’t broederhart vaak boorde! (Andante) Meen niet dat echte ramspoed heersen moet op aarde! Verlichting is het slechts die wél doet, Als zij u tot beet’re daden brengt, Die, mensen, gij in rampspoed omzet, Als dwaas en blind gij achter in de prikkel slaat, Die voorwaarts, voorwaarts u had moeten drijven. Wees wijs dus maar, wees krachtig en wees broeders! Dan rust op u geheel mijn welgevallen, Dan stromen vreugdetranen op uw wangen, Dan worden al uw klachten jubeltonen, Dan maakt gij van woestijnen Edens dalen, Dan lacht u alles toe in de natuur, (Allegro) Dan is bereikt des levens echt geluk!
