Og jeg har alverdens guld i min taske,
mynt i min lomme og vin på min flaske.
Og jeg har en hue med bånd og med rose
og fillet er både min sko og min hose.
Og jeg er konge i berget det blå
og du er et trold, du elendige grå.
Og jeg tør knipse dig op i din næse,
og jeg tør håne dig ret op i fjæset:
"Trold, har du blommer,
jasmin og viol,
sange om sommer,
digte om sol?"

Une pièce de monnaie dans ma poche et du vin dans ma bouteille.
Et j'ai un un ruban et une rose à ma tête,
Et mes chaussures et mon pantalon sont déchirés.
Et je suis le roi de la montagne bleue,
Et tu es un troll, gris et misérable.
Et je peux claquer mes doigts devant ton nez,
Et je peux me moquer franchement de toi :
« Troll, as-tu des fleurs,
Du jasmin et des violettes,
Des chansons d'été,
Des poèmes sur le soleil ? »
