Ella tremando venne alfin dove a me piacque. Che mai dicevan l'acque ne'l silenzio solenne? Palpitavan le stelle ne la conca profonda; come fiori, più belle splendeano in tra la fronda. Parevano i roseti ne l'ombra alte compagi di neve: in loro ambagi avean cari segreti. Ella con le due braccia il mio collo ricinse, e mi porse la faccia, e tutta a me s'avvinse. Con sì lungo piacere io la baciai d'amore che parvemi nel core tutte le rose avere. Ben or, se l'aulorose labbra onde il miel trabocca bacio, sapor di rose mi si diffonde in bocca.
