Der welke Wintertraum, an dem ich kranke,

Ich weiß: dann wird Er, den ich oft geahnt,

Aspireront à la lumière, à l'action et à la splendeur.

Je le sais : alors sera mort et passé
Le rêve hibernal fané dont je fus malade ,
Alors mon sommeil sera plein de doux réconfort,
Et mes pensées de savoirs transfigurés.

Je le sais : alors Celui que j'ai souvent pressenti,
Ce Dieu inconnu me rencontrera en silence,
