Che si può fare

Language: Italian (Italiano)

Che si può fare
le stelle
rubelle
non hanno pietà
che s'el cielo non da
un influso di pace
al mio penare
che si può fare.
Che si può dire
da gl'astri
disastri
mi piovano ogn'or;
che si può dire
che le perfido
amer un respiro
di niega al mio martire
che si può dire.
Così va rio destin forte
tiranna gl'innocenti
con danna
così l'oro più fido
di costanza e di fè
lasso convienelo raffini d'ogn'or
fuoco di pene.
Sì, sì, sì, sì penar
deggio che darei sospiri
deggio trarne i respiri.
In aspri guai per eternarmi
il ciel niega mia sorte
al periodo vital
punto di morte.
Voi spirti dannati
ne sete beati
s'ogni eumenide ria
sol' è intenta a crucciar
l'anima mia.
Se sono sparite
le furie di Dite
voi ne gl'elisi eterni
i di trahete
io coverò gl'inferni.
Così avvien a chi tocca
calcar l'orme d'un cieco
alfin trabbocca.

Que puis‑je faire

Language: French (Français) after the Italian (Italiano)

Que puis-je faire ?
Les étoiles
intraitables
n'ont aucune pitié.
Puisque le ciel ne donne pas
un peu de paix
dans ma souffrance,
que puis-je faire ?
Que puis-je dire ?
Des célestes
désastres
pleuvent sur moi tout le temps ;
que puis-je dire ?
Depuis que le traître
amour refuse
un répit à mon martyre,
que puis-je dire ?
Ainsi par le puissant
tyran les innocents
sont condamnés.
Ainsi l'or le plus pur
de la constance et de la fidélité
est continuellement raffiné
dans le feu de la douleur.
Oui, oui, oui, oui je dois
souffrir, je dois soupirer,
je dois peiner à respirer.
Pour m'éterniser dans des troubles amers
le ciel me retient
toute la période de la vie
au point final de la mort.
Vous esprits damnés
vous êtes bénis,
puisque les cruelles Euménides
ont seulement pour but de torturer
mon âme.
Depuis qu'ont disparu
les furies de Dis,
dans les champs élysées vous
passez vos jours
pendant que je fonds en enfer.
Ainsi il arrive à celui qui marche
sur les traces d'un aveugle
de tomber à la fin.
