Namenstagslied

Language: German (Deutsch)

Vater, schenk' mir diese Stunde,
Hör' ein Lied aus meinem Munde!
Dir verdank' ich das Gelingen
Meine Wünsche heut' zu singen,
Denn du hast mit güt'ger Hand
Mir den Weg dazu gebahnt.

O, laß diese Hand mich küssen!
Sieh' des Dankes Tränen fließen!
Denn sie hat mir mehr gegeben
Als Gesang: ein schönes Leben;
Und mit kindlich frohem Blick
Dank' ich ihr des Lebens Glück.

Himmel, sende deinen Segen
Dem verehrten Mann entgegen!
Strahle ihm, des Glückes Sonne!
Schäum' ihm über, Kelch der Wonne!
Und von Blumen voller Pracht
Sei ein Kranz ihm dargebracht.

Diesen Kranz in deinen Haaren
Möge Gott uns stets bewahren,
Und ich fleh's mit nassen Blicken;
Noch ein zweiter soll dich schmücken,
Blau und golden, denn dir spricht
Jeder Mund: Vergiß mein nicht!

Cançó per a l'onomàstica

Language: Catalan (Català) after the German (Deutsch)

Pare, dóna'm aquesta hora,
escolta una cançó de la meva boca!
T'agraeixo que hagis fet acomplir
el meu desig de cantar avui,
car amb la teva benèvola mà,
m'hi has obert el camí.

Oh, permet que besi aquesta mà!
Guaita com em cauen les llàgrimes d'agraïment!
Car m'ha donat molt més
que el cant: una bona vida;
i amb un esguard joiós i infantívol
et dono les gràcies per la felicitat a la meva vida.

Cel, envia la teva benedicció
vers l'home honrat!
Il•lumina'l amb el sol de la benaurança!
Fes que vessi la copa del seu goig!
I que una corona de flors esplendorosa
se li faci arribar.

Aquesta corona al teu cap
que Déu la guardi per sempre,
ho suplico amb ulls plens de llàgrimes;
encara un altre t'ha d'ornamentar,
de blau i daurat, car totes les boques
et diuen: no m'oblidis!
