De aarde lag vóór mij, een lentedroom, Die licht en warmte doorgloeiden, En dolgelukkkig doorzwierf ik ‘t fantoom, Mijn hart ontsloot zich, ontbloeide, Het liefdesvuur was in mij ontwaakt, Mij doorhuivert kou, en mijn ziel is nu naakt.
