O sie fühlt, im leisen, linden Wehen,
[Froh des Hocherhabnen]2 Gegenwart,
Sieht im Geiste schon die Palmenhöhen,

La Laura prega! Arpes angèliques fan ressonar
la pau de Déu en el seu cor malaltís
i, com flaires de l'ofrena d'Abel,
els seus sospirs s'enlairen cap el cel.

Com s'agenolla, embadalida de devoció,
bella, tal com Rafael pintava la innocència! 
Està ja impregnada per l'esclat de la transfiguració
que transmeten els que viuen al cel.

Oh, ella percep la lleugera, dolça alenada,
amb joia, la presència dels éssers sublims,
en el seu esperit ja veu els cims de palmes,
on l'espera la seva aurèola lluminosa!

Així, de devoció i de confiança en Déu
s'eixampla el seu cor, pur com un àngel,
veure aquesta dona pregant
és com fer una ullada en l'altre món!
