Es hatte mein Haupt die schwarze Frau Zärtlich ans Herz geschlossen; Ach! meine Haare wurden grau, Wo ihre Tränen geflossen. Sie küßte mich lahm, sie küßte mich krank, Sie küßte mir blind die Augen; Das Mark aus meinem Rückgrat trank Ihr Mund mit wildem Saugen. Mein Leib ist jetzt ein Leichnam, worin Der Geist ist eingekerkert - Manchmal wird ihm unwirsch zu Sinn, Er tobt und rast und berserkert. Ohnmächtige Flüche! Dein schlimmster Fluch Wird keine Fliege töten. Ertrage die Schickung, und versuch Gelinde zu flennen, zu beten.

Ta černá paní mne sevřela, ba zlíbala srdce mi bědné. Jak za slzou slza jí vyvřela, má hlava mi šedne, ach, šedne. Už zchroml jsem a chor jsem z ní. Zrak z očí mi vylíbala. To její ústa horoucí z páteře míchu mi ssála. Je tělo teď už jen zdechlina, v něm duše má uvězněna, však někdy tam rámusit začíná, ba řádit a klít jak žena. Vše marno! Ni komára nezraní to sebehorší tvé klení. Zkus nésti to v křesťanském fňukání a dej se na modlení!
