Ihr Mädchen seid wie die Kähne; an die Ufer der Stunden seid ihr immer gebunden - [ darum bleibt ihr so bleich;]1 ohne hinzudenken, wollt ihr den Winden euch schenken: euer Traum ist der Teich. Manchmal nimmt euch der Strandwind mit bis die Ketten gespannt sind und dann liebt ihr ihn: Schwestern, jetzt sind wir Schwäne, mit am Goldgesträhne die Märchenmuschel ziehn.
