Umflattre mir des liebsten Mädchens Wangen Auf Rosenflügeln, leichter Morgentraum; Gieb ihnen Kolorit von Unschuld und Verlangen; Doch röte sie mir kaum. Hebt ihren Arm, wenn sie in süßem Schlummer Nach Lieblingsbildern hascht, ihr Grazien! Täuscht sie der Wonnetraum, so laßt den stillen Kummer Von ihrer Stirn verwehn! Streut auf sie hin, von balsamvollen Beeten, Ihr Liebesgötter, frischbetauen Mohn; Küßt, bis sie lächelt, und - so bald sie will erröten, Weckt mir Psycharion!
