1 Intellectus David, cum esset in spelunca, oratio. 2 Voce mea ad Dominum clamavi, voce mea ad Dominum deprecatus sum. 3 Effundo in conspectu ejus orationem meam, et tribulationem meam ante ipsum pronuntio: 4 in deficiendo ex me spiritum meum, et tu cognovisti semitas meas. In via hac qua ambulabam absconderunt laqueum mihi. 5 Considerabam ad dexteram, et videbam, et non erat qui cognosceret me: periit fuga a me, et non est qui requirat animam meam. 6 Clamavi ad te, Domine; dixi: Tu es spes mea, portio mea in terra viventium. 7 Intende ad deprecationem meam, quia humiliatus sum nimis. Libera me a persequentibus me, quia confortati sunt super me. 8 Educ de custodia animam meam ad confitendum nomini tuo; me exspectant justi donec retribuas mihi.

1 Eine Unterweisung Davids, als er in der Höhle war, ein Gebet. 2 Ich schreie zum Herrn mit meiner Stimme; ich flehe zum Herrn mit meiner Stimme. 3 Ich schütte meine Klage vor ihm aus und zeige an vor ihm meine Not. 4 Wenn mein Geist in Ängsten ist, so nimmst du dich meiner an. Sie legen mir Schlingen auf dem Wege, darauf ich gehe. 5 Schaue zur Rechten und sieh: da will mich niemand kennen. Ich kann nicht entfliehen; niemand nimmer sich meiner Seele an. 6 Herr, zu dir schreie ich und sage: Du bist meine Zuversicht, mein Teil im Lande der Lebendigen. 7 Höre auf meine Klage, denn ich werde sehr geplagt; errette mich von meinen Verfolgern, denn sie sind mir zu mächtig. 8 Führe mich aus dem Kerker, daß ich preise deinem Namen. Die Gerechten werden sich zu mir sammeln, wenn du mir wohltust.
