Aus den Trauben in die Tonne
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): ITA
Aus [den Trauben]1 in die Tonne,
aus der Tonne in das Fass,
aus dem Fasse d'rauf, o Wonne,
in dei Flasche und in's Glas.
Aus dem Glase in die Kehle,
in den Magen durch den Schlund,
aus dem Blute in die Seele
und als Wort dann in den Mund.
Aus dem Worte etwas später
formt sich ein begeistern Lied,
das durch Wolken in den Aether
mit dem Menschenjubel zieht.
Und in nächstem Fruehling wieder,
senken sich die Lieder fein,
auf die lieben Reben nieder,
blüh'n und werden wieder Wein.

Canzone del vino
Language: Italian (Italiano)  after the German (Deutsch)
Dai grappoli nel tino,
dal tino nella botte,
dalla botte poi, o gioia,
nella bottiglia e nel bicchiere.
Dal bicchiere nella gola,
nello stomaco se ne va,
dal sangue nell'anima
e come parola poi sulla bocca.
Dalla bocca poi pian piano
nasce un canto incantatore,
che tra le nuvole, nell'etere,
arriva con la gioia degli uomini.
E nella primavera di nuovo
si leveranno dolci canti,
sulle care vigne che fioriranno
e diventeranno di nuovo vino.
