Frühlingslied

Ein Mailied voller Wonne Schallt laut in meiner Brust; Wie leuchtet hell die Sonne, Wie jauchzt die Welt vor Lust! Wie lachen doch die Auen, So königlich geschmückt; Wohin die Augen schauen, Da ruhen sie entzückt. Wie eine Braut voll Schöne, Begrüßt mich die Natur, Und frohe Liedertöne Durchdringen Wald und Flur. In schimmernd hellem Glanze Liegt hier das Blüthenthal, Umgeben von dem Kranze Der Berge allzumal. O welch ein Meer von Leben, Welch ein Geruch und Duft! Viel weiße Blüthen schweben Durch diese linde Luft. Ich kann mich nicht mehr trennen Von solcher Frühlingspracht, Und muß es laut bekennen: Die Welt ist schön gemacht!
