Wieder ist das Herz bezwungen

Language: German (Deutsch)

Wieder ist das Herz bezwungen,
Und der öde Groll verrauchet,
Wieder zärtliche Gefühle
Hat der Mai mir eingehauchet.

Spät und früh durcheil ich wieder
Die besuchtesten Alleen,
Unter jedem Strohhut such ich
Meine Schöne zu erspähen.

Wieder an dem grünen Flusse,
Wieder steh ich an der Brücke -
Ach, vielleicht fährt sie vorüber,
Und mich treffen ihre Blicke.

Im Geräusch des Wasserfalles
Hör ich wieder leises Klagen,
Und mein schönes Herz versteht es,
Was die weißen Wellen sagen.

Wieder in verschlungnen Gängen
Hab ich träumend mich verloren,
Und die Vögel in den Büschen
Spotten des verliebten Toren.
