Nichts kann mir so genügen, wie meines Liebchens Blick; in ihren süssen Zügen find ich mein höchstes Glück. Und böt man Ehr' und Reichtum mir, nicht gäb ich Liebchens Blick dafür. Mich kann kein Leiden drücken in dieser schönen Welt; Vor meines Liebchens Blicken sich jede Wolke hellt. D'rum wohnet auch mein Erdenglück allein in meines Liebchens Blick. Mit ihren Augen siehet sie mich so traulich an; Daß jede Schwermut fliehet, kein Schmerz noch dauern kann; Ja, alles Glück und alle Ruh‘ strömt mir aus Liebchens Blicke zu.

Nic neblaží mě vice než pohled dívky me; Zřít v její sladké lice vrch štěstí mého je. Za čest a zlato veškeré bych nedal pohled dívky své. Já neznám úděl strastný, mně krásy pln je svět, Má v oku svit tak slastný, že z chmury jas je hned. A proto štěstí mého sen je v pohledu mé dívky jen. Když podívá se na mne svým vlídným pohledem, Hned prchnou strasti klamné a zase št’asten jsem. Vždyť spolkojenost mou i klid mi očí divky mé dá svit.
