Als ogen Gods zien jullie uit, Van oost en west, van noord en zuid, Naar mij met vriend'lijk oog. En overal omstraal je mij Met prettig schemerlicht. De zon streeft 's ochtends je voorbij, Maar geen van jullie zwicht. En als de avond net weer grauwt, Dan kijken jullie heel vertrouwd Mij weerom in 't gezicht. O glimlach maar, o wenk mij maar Heel stil op jullie aan. Mij gidst toch Moeder Al-Natuur Volgens haar grote plan.
