Gdy ostatnia róża zwiędła

Language: Polish (Polski)

Gdy ostatnia róża zwiędła
Rzekłam chłop cu idź!
Zerwała się złota nić
Którą miłość przędła.

Poskoczyłam jak najprędzej
Swiéżą nitkȩ wziąść,
Chciałam złotą nit ką prząść
Lecz zabrakło przȩdzy.

Zakwi tnęły róze znowu
Nić się nie chce snuć
Próżno wołam: luby wróć!
On nie wierzy słowu.

Rosentage sind verronnen

Language: German (Deutsch) after the Polish (Polski)

Rosentage sind verronnen,
Liebster, geh'! bist frei!
Der Goldfaden riss entzwei,
Den die Lieb' gesponnen.

Und ich liess ihn, sprang von hinnen,
Suchte neues Gold;
Doch das Glück war mir nicht hold,
Nichts fand ich zum spinnen.

Wieder blüht der Rosen Schimmer,
Nur kein Spinnerglück.
Liebster! ruf ich, komm zurück!
Doch der glaubt mir nimmer.
