Auf der Riesenkoppe

Language: German (Deutsch)

Hoch auf dem Gipfel
Deiner Gebirge
Steh' ich und staun' ich,
Glühend begeistert,
Heilige Koppe,
[Himmelanstürmerin]1!

Weit in die Ferne
Schweifen die [trunkenen]2,
Freudigen Blicke,
Überall Leben,
Üppiges Streben,
Überall Sonnenschein.

Blühende Fluren,
Schimmernde Städte,
Dreyer Könige
Glückliche Länder
Schau' ich begeistert,
Schau' ich mit hoher,
[Inniger]3 Lust.

Auch meines Vaterlands
Gränze erblick' ich,
Wo mich das Leben
Freundlich begrüßte,
Wo mich der Liebe
Heilige Sehnsucht
Glühend ergriff.

Sey mir gesegnet
Hier in der Ferne
Liebliche Heimath!
Sey mir gesegnet,
Land meiner Träume!
Kreis meiner Lieben,
Sey mir gegrüßt!

Op de Riesenkoppe (Reuzenkop)

Language: Dutch (Nederlands) after the German (Deutsch)

Hoog op de toppunt
van je gebergte
Sta ik verbijsterd,
Gloeiend van geestdrift,
heilige Koppe,
Die naar de hemel stormt!

Wijd in de rondte
Dwalen mijn dronken,
stralende blikken;
Overal leven,
uitdagend streven,
Overal zonneschijn!

Bloeiende velden,
schitt'rende steden,
Van drie koningen
drie blije landen
Zie ik geestdriftig,
zie ik met fierheid,
Met innig plezier.

Ook van mijn vaderland
zie ik de grenzen,
Waar mij het leven
vriend'lijk begroette,
Waar mij de heil'ge
hunk'ring der liefde
Vurig besprong.

'k Zend je mijn zegen,
hier uit de verte,
Liefelijk thuisland!
'k Zend je mijn zegen,
land van mijn dromen,
Kring van mijn vrienden,
'k zend je mijn groet!
