Die Kreuze
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the French (Français)
Available translation(s): CHI ENG FRE ITA NYN
Heilge Kreuze sind die Verse,
Dran die Dichter stumm verbluten,
Blindgeschlagen von der Geier
Flatterndem Gespensterschwarme!
In den Leibern schwelgten Schwerter,
Prunkend in des Blutes Scharlach!
Heilge Kreuze sind die Verse,
Dran die Dichter stumm verbluten.
Tot das Haupt - erstarrt die Locken -
Fern, verweht der Lärm des Pöbels.
Langsam sinkt die Sonne nieder,
Eine rote Königskrone. -
Heilge Kreuze sind die Verse!

Le croci
Language: Italian (Italiano)  after the German (Deutsch)
Sante croci sono i versi,
su cui muti poeti si dissanguano,
colpiti alla cieca dallo svolazzante
stormo spettrale degli avvoltoi!
Nelle carni affondano i rostri,
gozzoviglia sfarzosa di sangue scarlatto!
Sante croci sono i versi,
su cui muti poeti si dissanguano.
Morto il capo - irrigiditi i capelli -
lontano, si perde lo schiamazzo del volgo.
A poco a poco il sole tramonta,
in una rossa corona reale.
Sante croci sono i versi!
