Es fiel ein Thau vom Himmel himmlisch mild, Der alle Pflanzen bis zur Wurzel stillt; Laß dein Sehnen, Laß die Thränen! Es fiel ein Thau der alles Dürsten stillt. Ein sanftes Sausen kommt aus hoher Luft, Still grünt das Thal und steht in Veilchenduft; Göttlich Leben Fühl' ich weben, Ein sanftes Sausen kommt aus hoher Luft. Wie Engelsflügel blitzt es über Land; Nun schmück' dich Herz, thu an ein rein Gewand! Sieh, die Sonne Steigt in Wonne, Wie Engelsflügel blitzt es über Land. Macht weit das Thor! Der König ziehet ein, Die Welt soll jung und lauter Friede sein; Streuet Palmen! Singet Psalmen! Hosannah singt, der König ziehet ein.
