Exsultate, jubilate
Language: Latin
Available translation(s): FRE GER
Exsultate, jubilate,
o vos animae beatae!
Dulcia cantica canendo,
cantui vestro respondendo,
psallant aethera cum me.
Fulget amica dies,
iam fugere et nubila et procellae;
exortus est justis inexspectata quies.
Undique obscura regnabat nox;
surgite tandem laeti,
qui timuistis adhuc,
et iucundi aurorae fortunatae
frondes dextera plena et lilia date.
Tu, virginum corona,
tu nobis pacem dona.
Tu consolare affectus,
unde suspirat cor.
Alleluja.

Frohlocket, jubilieret
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the Latin
Frohlocket, jubilieret,
o ihr beglückten Seelen!
Liebliche Gesänge anstimmend,
euren Gesang aufnehmend
singen die Himmel den Lobpreis mit mir.
Ein freundlicher Tag leuchtet auf,
Wolken und Gewitter sind bereits gewichen;
unerwartete Ruhe ist den Gerechten zuteil geworden.
Überall herrschte finstere Nacht;
steht endlich auf voll Freude,
die ihr bislang in Angst wart,
und wohlgesinnt dem glückseligen Morgenlicht
überreicht, mit vollen Händen, Laubkränze und Lilien.
Du, der Jungfrau Zier,
du, verleihe uns Frieden.
Du, lindere die Regung,
aus der das Herz schmachtet.
Halleluja.
