Stříbrná křovinou když luna leskne se,
Dřímotné po drnu světlo sypá svoje,
        Když slavík klokotá mi:
        Pak bloudím klenutím keře;

Pak slavíčku tebe, pěvče, blahoslavím,
Že v jednom samice hnízdě žije s tebou,
        Důvěrných zpěvavému
        Na sta manželu dá hubek.

Listím dvé holubů zastřených mi svoji
Rozkoš pozavrká; než, otočiv se tu,
        Temnější si hledám stín,
        Soukromné tu roním slzy.

Slibný obraze, jenž v mou duši jak zora
Své paprsky metáš, najduli tě v světě? —
        Věčné touhy budičky,
        Hvězdy! svěťte mi k úsvitě!
