Zwei Rechte nur verkauf' ich nicht,
Zwei Rechte, gut und alt:
Im Kloster eins, mit schmuckem Thurm,
Und eins im grünen Wald.

Am Kloster schenkten wir uns arm
Und bauten uns zu Grund,
Dafür der Abt mir füttern muß
Den Habicht und den Hund.

Im Schönbuch, um das Kloster her,
Da hab' ich das Gejaid,
Behalt' ich das, so ist mir nicht
Um all mein Andres leid.

Und hört ihr Mönchlein eines Tages
Nicht mehr mein Jägerhorn,
Dann zieht dasGlöcklein, sucht mich auf !
Ich lieg am schatt'gen Born.

Begrabt mich unter breiter Eich'
In grünen Vogelsang,
Und lest mir ein Jägermess',
Die dauert nicht zu lang'.

Moi, Götz von Tübingen, comte palatin,
Je vends châteaux et villes,
Avec habitants, tribut, champs et forêt,
Je suis couvert de dettes.

Je garde seulement deux droits,
Deux bons et anciens droits :
L'un est dans un couvent, à la belle tour,
Et l'autre est une verte forêt.

Nous avons donné au couvent jusqu'à la pauvreté
Et le construisant nous nous sommes ruinés,
C'est pourquoi l'abbé doit nous nourrir, moi,
Mon autour et mon chien.

À Schönbuch, autour du couvent,
J'ai une chasse,
Je l'ai conservée, ainsi je n'ai pas
La douleur d'avoir perdu tout le reste.

Et si vous les moines, un jour
N'entendez plus mon cor de chasse,
