se fait entendre sur quelque rive fleurie et fraîche,

Où, plein de pensées d'amour, je m'étais assis pour écrire,
je vais, et j'écoute, et j'entends celle que le ciel nous montra,
que la terre nous cache, et qui, toujours vivante,
répond de si loin à mes soupirs,

Ah ! pourquoi te consumes-tu avant le temps ?
