Wo gehst du hin, du Stolze?
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): CAT DUT ENG FRE
Wo gehst du hin, du Stolze?
Was hab ich dir getan,
Daß du an mir vorbeigehst,
Und siehst mich gar nicht an?
Seh ich dich kommen, grüß ich dich,
Du gehst vorbei und dankst mir nicht;
Es wird die Stunde kommen,
Wo du noch denkst an mich!
Die Rosen, die im Walde erblühn
In frischer Pracht,
Bald sind sie abgefallen,
Verblühet über Nacht.
Fällt eine Rose in den Staub,
So blüht die andre auf am Strauch,
Und ist es nicht die eine,
Die andere mir lacht.

Où vas‑tu, si fière ?
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Où vas-tu, si fière ?
Que t'ai-je fait,
Que tu passes devant moi
Et ne me regardes même pas ?
Si je te vois venir, je te salue,
Mais tu passes devant moi et ne m'en sais gré ;
Le temps viendra
Où tu te souviendras de moi !
Les roses qui dans la forêt fleurissent
De toute leur fraîche splendeur
Bientôt seront tombées,
Fanées en une nuit.
Si une rose tombe dans la poussière,
Une autre dans le buisson fleurit,
Et si ce n'est celle-là,
Une autre me sourira.
