En morgen zal de zon ons weer begroeten,
En op mijn route, de voor mij bewaarde,
Laat z' ons, gelukkigen, ooit weer ontmoeten,
Omringd door deze zonlichtaad'mende aarde....
 
En naar het strand, de golven, ver ginds wijkend,
Zullen wij stil en langzaam af gaan dwalen,
Stom staan we, elkaar in de ogen kijkend,
En op ons zal geluk dan zwijgend dalen...
