Er klagt, daß der Frühling so kurz blüht
Language: German (Deutsch)

Kleine Blumen wie aus Glas
seh' ich gar zu gerne,
durch das dunkelgrüne Gras
gucken sie wie Sterne.

Gelb und rosa, rot und blau,
schön sind auch die weißen,
Trittmadam' und Himmeltau,
wie sie alle heißen.

Komb und gibb mir mittendrin
Küßgens ohnbemessen.
Morgen sind sie längst dahin
und wir selbst vergessen.

Han klager over at våren blomstrer så kort
Language: Norwegian (Bokmål)  after the German (Deutsch)
Små blomster som om av glass
ser jeg meget gjerne,
gjennom det mørkegrønne gresset
titter de opp som stjerner.

Gule og rosa, røde og blå,
vakre er også de hvite,
«Trittmadam» og «Himmeltau»
som de alle heter.

Kom og gi deg til meg midt i dette;
kyssende uten hemninger.
I morgen er de for lengst borte
og vi selv er glemt.
