Waldvögelein, wo singst du? Liedchen so fein, wo klingst du? Froh über grünendes Feld hin, Laut in die sorgende Welt hin Singst du, klingst du: Mein Vater mich nähret, trau' ihm! Waldblümelein, wo blühst du? Röschen so fein, wo glühst du? Wer gab das farbige Kleid dir? Dort auf der Flur zum Beschied mir Blühst du, glühst du: Mein Vater mich kleidet, trau' ihm! Sage, du Herz, was zagst du? Warum im Schmerz so klagst du? Vöglein singt froh, daß die Brust glüht, Blümlein zur Lehr' und zur Lust blüht, Zagt nicht, klagt nicht: Der Vater uns schützet, Preis ihm!
