Die Amsel ruft, Die Nachtviolen sind erwacht Mit süßem Duft, Doch Beide nahmen's nicht in Acht, Wem ungeahnt sie Trost gebracht. Verweh, mein Sang! Und wird's auch nimmermehr dir kund Wohl lebenslang, Wem ungeahnt in weiter Rund Du wohlgethan im Herzensgrund.
