Alte Liebe

Language: German (Deutsch)

Es kehrt die dunkle Schwalbe
Aus fernem Land zurück,
Die frommen Störche kehren
Und bringen neues Glück.

An diesem Frühlingsmorgen,
So trüb' verhängt und warm,
Ist mir, als fänd' ich wieder
Den alten Liebesharm.

Es ist als ob mich leise
Wer auf die Schulter schlug,
Als ob ich säuseln hörte,
Wie einer Taube Flug.

Es klopft an meine Türe,
Und ist doch niemand draus;
Ich atme Jasmindüfte,
Und habe keinen Strauß.

Es ruft mir aus der Ferne,
Ein Auge sieht mich an,
Ein alter Traum erfaßt mich
Und führt mich seine Bahn.

Antico amore

Language: Italian (Italiano) after the German (Deutsch)

Torna la scura rondine,
torna da un lontano paese,
tornano le miti cicogne
portando una gioia nuova.

Nei mattini di primavera,
velati da tiepide nebbie,
mi sembra di ritrovare
l'antico tormento d'amore.

E' come se qualcuno piano
mi avesse sfiorato la spalla,
e come se udissi il frullo
di una colomba in volo.

Avverto un bussare alla porta
ma fuori non c'è nessuno,
profumo di gelsomino,
ma non ne vedo i fiori.

Ascolto un richiamo lontano,
un occhio mi sta osservando,
mi afferra un antico sogno
e verso di lui mi conduce.
