Omgiver Hyttens Drømmeland.
Et Paradis er dog det Sted,
Thi der bor Kjærlighed!
Ej Sølv, ej Guld man finder
Der, men To, som har hinanden kjær.
Se! Kys og Smil paa Læben ler,
Og Øjet Sjælen ser.
Det tale ej det mindste Ord;
Glemt er den hele store Jord,
Med Kamp og Smerte, Fryd og Fred,
Thi her bor Kjærlighed!

Là où sur le rivage de hautes vagues déferlent
S'élève une toute petite hutte,
Alentour, sur toute la pointe,
Il n'y a pas un coin d'herbe.
Seuls le ciel, la mer et un peu de terre
Entourent le pays de rêve de cette hutte.
Cet endroit est bien un paradis,
Car l'amour y habite !
On n'y trouve ni argent, ni or
Mais deux êtres qui sont chers l'un à l'autre.
Vois ! Le baiser et le sourire rient sur leurs lèvres,
Et l'œil voit leur âme.
Ils ne disent pas le moindre mot ;
Tout le reste du monde est oublié,
Avec combats et peines, joies et paix,
Car ici habite l'amour !
