Nun werden schon die Bäume grün, Die Amsel singt im Blütenstrauch; O Herz, nun heb' die Schwingen auch, Herz, werde jung und kühn! Es hat des Winters strenge Hand Die jungen Knospen dir geknickt; Nun sieh' die Fluren neu geschmückt, O Herz, nun halte Stand! Es rinnt der Quell, die Blumen blüh'n, Gelockt von jungem Lenzeshauch: O Herz, dein Frühling kommt ja auch, Herz, werde jung und kühn!
