Je suis comme un étendard qui se détache sur les lointains.
Je pressens les vents à venir et dois  vivre leur vie,
tandis qu'en bas rien encore ne remue ;
les portes sont encore douillettement fermées et les  âtres muets ;
les fenêtres ne vibrent pas encore, et la poussière reste épaisse.

Mais moi, j'ai déjà connaissance des tempêtes et suis agité comme la mer.
Alors, je m'enfle et plonge au plus profond de moi,
puis je m'ébroue : me voilà seul
dans la violente tempête.
