Dank des Paria

Großer Brahma! Nun erkenn ich,
Daß du Schöpfer bist der Welten!
Dich als meinen Herrscher nenn ich;
Denn du läßest alle gelten.
Und verschließest auch dem Letzten
Keines von den tausend Ohren;
Uns, die tief herabgesetzten,
Alle hast du neu geboren.
Wendet euch zu dieser Frauen,
Die der Schmerz zur Göttin wandelt!
Nun beharr ich anzuschauen
Den, der einzig wirkt und handelt.

Ringraziamento del Paria
Language: Italian (Italiano)  after the German (Deutsch)
Divino Brahma! Comprendo adesso,
che sei il creatore dell'universo!
Ti chiamo Signore
perché a ogni cosa dai valore.
E nemmeno per gli ultimi
chiudi uno dei tuoi mille orecchi;
A noi, i più disprezzati,
hai dato nuova vita.
Rivolgetevi a questa donna
mutata in dea per il suo dolore!
Ora continuo a contemplare
colui che, unico, agisce e opera.
