Un cigne avança damunt l'aigua envoltat d'ell mateix, com un quadre llisquent; així, en certs instants, un ésser estimat és tot un espai que es mou. S'apropa, com un doble d'aquest cigne que neda, damunt la nostra pertorbada ànima... i que, a aquest ésser, afegeix la imatge tremolejant de benaurança i de dubte.
