Es naht wie der Flug der Träume, und dennoch ist es kein Traum; zuweilen die Wipfel der Bäume streicht's wie mit sichtbarem Saum. Es ist ein leiser Gedanke, und immer kehrt er zurück, es ist die tiefe, die kranke, verworrene Sehnsucht nach Glück. Und weinen kann es und lachen in dir! Ein Nichts, ein Hauch!
