No sé quina mà ha tingut cura de tu per florir aquí, ni tampoc de qui és el sepulcre que vetlles; si és el d’un jovencell, ell trobà la salvació, si és el d’una donzella, clement fou el seu destí. De nit, en un boscatge banyat de llum de neu, on tot passant, el devot cabirol pastura, prop de l’ermita, a l’estany cristal•lí, allà vaig cercar el teu màgic reialme. Tu ets formosa, filla de la lluna i no del sol, el que per a altres flors és delícia, per a tu seria mortal, el teu cos verge, ple de gebre i fragància, es nodreix de l’aire dolç, balsàmic, d’una celestial gelor. Al daurat esplet de la teva sina, es genera un perfum que a penes es fa sentir; així flairejava, tocat per mans angèliques, el vestit nupcial de la santa Mare. En record de la passió divina, t’haguessin pogut abillar cinc gotes purpúries, bell i únic ornament: però tu, infantívola, durant el Nadal, et poses un vestit blanc amb un toc de verd clar.
