All previous sections indicate a poet's name, and the last section so named was by Paul Wigand, but it could also be a mix of unnamed (but previously named) poets. Fr. Pazdírek's Universal-Handbuch der Musikliteratur aller Völker indicates the poet of this text is "Kohlhauer" and there is a previous section in Lyrisches Album for poetry by Carl Ernst Kohlhauer, but we have not yet found any other poetic source to indicate that this poem should be attributed to him.
Authorship:
- possibly by Carl Ernst Kohlhauer (b. 1815), "In der Ferne" [author's text checked 1 time against a primary source]
